Talhoffer was a Renaissance German fencing instructor who wrote several fencing manuals in the mid 15th century. The back of the buckler has a handle which is securely riveted to the shield and covered with wood The buckler measures 43cm in length and 28cm wide. I've bought this before, the shirt is kind of stretchy and kind of thick. It's nice quality when you get it at some discount. Beware that this is slim fit so get one size up if you want to be comfortable.
